My mom has a combination of dementia and Alzeihmers. Her biggest issue is finding words and trying to express her needs and looking for words in her brain. She knows its an issue and it frustrates her. So her brain is able to find areas of clarity while others are dark and murky. The pinks, purples represent her lucid moments where she is funny and cracking jokes.
This 12 x 12 piece is made from recycled steel on a 3/4 wood panel. The steel is screwed to the wood panel... the steel as grinded patterns and alcohol ink. It is finished with a UV resin to protect the finish.
